Art Reflections
A series of personal meditations, inspired by contemporary works of art with interesting sacred stories to tell.
When artists set to work with paint brush, chisel, burin, and pencil, what they create has an alarming way of taking on a life of its own. Intimations of the sacred often appear in seemingly secular works, whispers of things the artist may not have intended us to hear. Works on familiar religious themes may tell us stories different from the ones we know by heart. Sometimes we pick up echoes of works by other artists. So, let the Spirit blow where it wills, as you read these reflections on works in my collection (and their artistic borrowings!) You may come up with meanings of your own as you spend a few Moments with Masters.
