Star Wars and Harry Potter were not around when I was a child. The stories that fired my imagination were the great biblical narratives, read to me at bedtime, heard in church, depicted in the brightly colored illustrations of my Children's Bible Story Book. Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Noah and the Ark. The list goes on. Jesus, himself, was a great story-teller in parables like the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son. My world has changed since those trusting childhood years in Baptist Church Sunday School in the 1950s. My love for the stories of the Bible has not. This section presents familiar Bible Stories and Parables together with images from my sacred art collection and library.
